How it works
There is not much to explain, which is sort of the point. Here is the whole thing, in order.
Start a duo chatVideo, voice, or plain text. You pick this before the match starts, and it stays that way for the conversation — so choose the one you are actually comfortable with.
No profile, no bio, no interests to tick. There is nothing for the system to match on, which is exactly why there is nothing to fill in first.
One person. Not a room, not a lobby, not an audience. They were in the same queue you were, and neither of you picked the other.
If you are on video you can shut your own camera part-way through without hanging up — the other side just stops seeing you.
Skip, and you are back in the queue for the next person. No goodbye screen, no notification on their end, no explanation owed.
Most of the questions people ask first are about filtering, so here they are together. The answer is the same one three times, and it is not a feature we are hiding behind a paywall:
A site that lets you filter turns into a site where you spend the evening filtering. Taking the controls away is what makes a duo chat take one tap instead of ten minutes of setup.
You can report and block from inside the conversation, and moderation runs around the clock. Skipping is always available and always instant — you never have to stay in something you do not want to be in, and you never owe anyone a reason for leaving.
If you would rather choose a person yourself than be matched, there is a list of people who are online that you can call directly. That is the one place on the site where you do the picking.
Nothing to install, nothing to set up first.
